Sibonelo is a lecturer in the department of Computer Science at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Westville campus. He is a PhD candidate working in the field of Natural Language Processing. His research is focused on exploring the use of cross-lingual transfer learning to improve the performance of NLP solutions for low-resource languages, using isiZulu as a case study.
