Mr Vorster has a strong software engineering background, with professional experience in the fields of high-performance computing, software development methodologies, and enterprise architectures. Mr Vorster also has over 20 years of experience as a musician – he is an accomplished performer, composer, producer, and sound designer.

Mr Vorster is a member of the Nature-Inspired Combinatorial Optimisation Group in the discipline of computer science. He is a PhD candidate working with artificial intelligence techniques applied to human-competitive music creativity. He holds a MSc in computer science, and is a lecturer with 10 years experience.
