This programme is offered on the Pietermaritzburg Campus. The Bachelor of Agricultural Management Honours degree aims to equip students with advanced knowledge and skills in agricultural management, preparing them for leadership roles in the agricultural sector and further academic pursuits.
Entry Requirements
- Applicants are eligible to apply to register for the qualification Bachelor of Agricultural Management Honours if they have previously been awarded a Bachelor of Agricultural Management and met the general College rule SAS H1.

64 Credits, Level 7 approved by the school, of which 48 must be chosen from the School of Commerce.
- Agricultural Management Project and Seminar (year-long module) – AMAN790 (32 Credits)

- Agricultural Policy Analysis – AGEC740 (16 Credits)
64 Credits, Level 7 approved by the school, of which 48 must be chosen from the School of Commerce.

What do they actually do?
- Agricultural Managers are responsible for:
Forward planning and making policy decisions. - Budgeting and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Organising sales and purchases of livestock, farm equipment, crops and agricultural products.
- Overseeing all functions to ensure that targets and objectives of the organisation are met.
- Students also have the option of using this qualification to work as a Sales and Marketing Consultant within the Agricultural Sector.
