This programme is offered on the Pietermaritzburg Campus. The Master of Agricultural Management prepares independent researchers in Agricultural Management who can contribute to the generation of knowledge at an advanced level by conducting original research that addresses complex context based issues under the guidance of the research supervisor or supervisory committee.

- Applicants are eligible to apply to register for the qualification of Master of Agricultural Management if they have previously been awarded a Bachelor of Agricultural Management Honours at NQF Level 8.
- Total Credits for Qualification: 192
What do they actually do?
- Agricultural Managers are responsible for:
Forward planning and making policy decisions. - Budgeting and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Organising sales and purchases of livestock, farm equipment, crops and agricultural products.
- Overseeing all functions to ensure that targets and objectives of the organisation are met.
- Students also have the option of using this qualification to work as a Sales and Marketing Consultant within the Agricultural Sector.
