Overview

This programme will be offered from the Pietermaritzburg Campus. The Master of Agriculture in Food Security will prepare food security practitioners and independent researchers working on transdisciplinary issues that address all dimensions of food security. Students will be able to generate knowledge at an advanced level by conducting trans-disciplinary research that addresses complex context-based issues under the guidance of the research supervisory team. The qualification aims to provide Students with specialised knowledge and competence in food security.

Entry Requirements

  • Applicant are eligible to apply to register for the qualification of Master of Agriculture in Food Security if they have previously been awarded a Bachelor of Agriculture Honours or a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (NQF Level 8) or a Postgraduate Diploma in Food Security.
