Master of Science in Agriculture (Research)
Overview
This programme is offered from the Pietermaritzburg Campus. The Master of Science in Agriculture prepares independent researchers in the various fields of agriculture (Animal Science, Crop Science, Horticultural Science, Plant Breeding, Plant Pathology, Soil Science) who can contribute to the generation of knowledge at an advanced level by conducting original research that addresses complex context-based issues, under the guidance of the research supervisor or supervisory committee. The programme aims to develop lifelong learners with a drive for research who will make a positive contribution to Agriculture in South Africa, regionally and globally.

- Applicants are eligible to apply to register for the qualification of Master of Science in Agriculture if they have previously been awarded a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture at NQF Level 8 or an appropriate Bachelor Honours Degree in Agriculture.
