Master of Science – Physics
Overview
The Master of Science – Physics is offered from the Pietermaritzburg and Westville campuses. The Master of Science – Physics prepares independent researchers in sciences who can contribute to the generation of knowledge at an advanced level by conducting original research that addresses complex context-based issues, under the guidance of the research supervisor or supervisory committee. The programme aims to develop lifelong learners with a drive for research that will make a positive contribution to science in South Africa regionally and globally.
Entry Requirements
- Applicants are eligible to apply to register for the qualification of Master of Science – Physics if they have previously been awarded a Bachelor of Science Honours – Physics at NQF Level 8 in an appropriate subject (as specified by the discipline).
Modules
The curriculum for the qualification Master of Science offered by research, shall comprise a total of 192 credits.
