Dr Sivparsad is a well-rounded plant pathologist with a passion for teaching and student development. She holds a PhD in Plant Pathology and has a Y2 rating from the National Research Foundation (NRF). She recently joined UKZN as a senior lecturer, following her role as a senior scientist at the Institute for Commercial Forestry Research. Her research involves the development of integrated pest management strategies aimed at minimizing risk to tree plantations from diseases.
