Biography

An academic for over thirty years in Geology and Applied Geology, specializing in Engineering Geology.  I have involved in several mapping projects, mineral exploration, teaching and research, and administrative duties.  In the last 15 years of service at UKZN, I have actively participated in the teaching, research, postgraduate supervision and community engagement activities at various capacities including at lecturer and senior lecturer levels.  I have successfully supervised 64 honours, 7 MSc and 1 PhD students. I have published over 10 peer reviewed scientific articles and contributed over 15 conference papers. I have been tasked with administrative duties and served in several leadership roles.
