Dr Nasiphi Bitani is a Zoology lecturer passionate about conservation and teaching. She has a PhD in Ecological Science obtained in 2024 that focused on avian taxonomic and functional communities’ response to microhabitat and landscape characteristics of the Southern Mistbelt forests of the KZN Midlands. She was most recently an NRF Postdoctoral Research Fellow where she studied the effects of Climate change on the distribution of KZN coastal forests. Her current research focuses on the effects of anthropogenic disturbances on bird and mammal community assemblages.
