Dr Dladla joined the University of KwaZulu-Natal, as an undergraduate student, in 2008. She currently holds a PhD (specialising in marine geology), obtained from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Her research interests lie in sedimentology, sequence stratigraphy and marine geology. As an emerging researcher, Dr Dladla has published a number of peer-reviewed research articles and presented her research in a few conferences. She was appointed as a developmental lecturer in 2014 and is currently lecturing the sedimentary petrology and palaeontology courses in the Discipline of Geological Sciences.
