Dr Vincent Couling obtained his PhD in experimental and computational molecular optics from the University of Natal, after which he undertook a postdoctoral stint in resonance Raman spectroscopy at Cambridge. His research interests lie in the measurement and calculation of the fundamental optical, electric and magnetic properties of molecules, as well as in the measurement and modelling of intermolecular interaction effects.
