Dr Jembere is a Senior Lecturer in the Discipline of Computer Science at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) and is a member of the UKZN node of the Centre of Artificial Intelligence Research (CAIR). He is actively involved in teaching and facilitating Computer Science modules, as well as mentoring and supervising postgraduate research students. His research interests and specialisation are centred on Sequence Modelling and its applications in Natural Language Processing (NLP), Sequential Recommender Systems, Time-Series Modelling, and Spatio-Temporal Modelling.
