Agriculture and Science

Prof Nel is a human geographer, and was appointed as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Geography at the University of Kwazulu-Natal in June of 2015. Prior to this he held a Visiting Scholar position with the Institute for Development Studies at the University of Sussex, and a research associate position with the Institute for Development Studies at the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. Dr Nel researches and teaches about contemporary human-environment relations and entanglements in Southern and Eastern Africa.
