Prof Mditshwa is a postharvest expert and he holds a PhD in Horticultural Sciences. Prof Mditshwa has over seven years’ experience in postharvest research. His research is focused on postharvest physiology and technology with special interest on finding effective non-chemical technologies for preserving quality and extending shelf-life. His research findings have been published in peer-reviewed international journals. To date, he has published more than 40 journal articles, conference proceedings and book chapters. Owing to his expertise, he is often invited by international journals and organizations to  be a reviewer for research articles and proposals.
