Bachelor of Science Honours – Applied Mathematics
Overview
The Bachelor of Science Honours – Applied Mathematics is offered on the Pietermaritzburg and Westville campuses. The Applied Mathematics Honours specialisation develops advanced knowledge, skills, and competencies in applied mathematics. It focuses on developing both theoretical and practical expertise in using mathematical techniques to solve real-world problems.
Entry Requirements
- Applicants are eligible to apply to register for the Applied Mathematics specialisation in the BSc (Hons) programme if they have previously been awarded a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics or another appropriate equivalent approved by the Academic Leader: Teaching and Learning.
Modules
The curriculum for the Applied Mathematics (Hons) specialisation comprises modules with a total credit point value of 128 credit points as approved by the Senate. The Module MATH798 may not be repeated.
